About the Club

The Elks Swim Club was established in 1961 for lodge members and their families. The pool has 350 families in membership today. It is a family atmosphere and offers many activities for all ages. It’s a great pool with friendly staff and members.

There have been numerous improvements to our grounds and our pool is considered to be one of the best in North Wilmington.

Pavillion reservations can only be made through the guards once the pool opens, during pool hours for the season.

We have The Hungry Elk snack bar for our members convenience, providing snacks and specialty menu items on weekends and holidays. There are commercial grade grills available to use also.

The Lodge is open during their summer hours (see “about” page for lodge hours) during the pool season and members are encouraged to purchase their alcohol and cocktails at the lodge. Alcohol not purchased at the Lodge is not permitted in the pool area.

The main pool is a 25 meter pool that has two low dives in the deep end area of the pool. There is pool basketball, lighted sand volleyball, basketball courts, baseball field, playground, outdoor shuffleboard, gaga pit and cornhole. The baby pool is fenced in and is for children from birth to 7 years of age.

​The Elks Swim team is a big part of the pool community, and has well over 200 children that compete throughout the summer. Swim meets are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June through July. The Elks Swim team parents, known as P.E.S.T (Parents of Elks Swim Team) are very active in supporting the team and offer fun events through the season.
